The Interdisciplinary Stem Cell Institnute at the University of Miami is seeking a qualified individual to fill a Post Doctoral position in the laboratories of Dr. Claudia Rodrigues and Dr. Joshua Hare. The individual will undertake research related to understanding the molecular mechanisms involved in cardiac stem cell survival, self-renewal and differentiation.The applicant will be responsible for designing and executing experiments relevant to the research area with mentoring from Dr. Rodrigues and disseminating findings by preparing manuscripts for publication.
The successful candidate must have a PhD in Biology or related field plus a track record of publications and excellent communication, writing and organizational skills. Experience in cellular biology and biochemistry is required. Animal experience is desirable. Other qualifications include self-motivation, creativity, and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
